Battlefield is my favourite game series of all time. For a start, in my opinion, there is no experience like playing Battlefield, the adrenaline rush you get from performing an exceptional manoeuvre is incomparable in gaming. You can keep your Call Of Duty, Battlefield is real warfare. Choose you class, drive or fly a multitude of vehicles, and work tactically with your squad and team towards victory. Graphically the game is superb and the destruction of your surroundings is incredible, even on the PlayStation 3. The current method of joining your mates is for one of you to enter a server, then the rest of you wait up to twenty minutes clicking on that server in the hope that someone rage quits. The majority of Conquest games are so one-sided, both sides start with 400 tickets each, but most games end with one side only losing 50 tickets or so while wiping out the opposition. There are two reasons for this, the server matchmaking seems to put all the high level players on the same team, and pits them against relative noobs. If you are playing alone however, the game will nine times out of 10 stick you straight into one of these depleted and heavily losing sides, so you almost always seem to get caned on your first game. The downside to this is that in a server comprising mainly of Brits I can dominate with, say three times as many kills as deaths, but playing against Americans I get owned, dying up to five times more than my kills. A Brits I can kill enemies with five to 10 bf3 pc matchmaking taking forever, so with 30 bullets in my gun clip I can wipe out an entire five-man squad in a single burst without reloading. Advertisement Against Americans however I can pour all 30 bullets into a single enemy from behind, then throw two grenades at their feet, and finally swap weapons to put a few pistols rounds into them, before they unbelievably turn around and kill me instantly. The kill cam then often mocks me by informing me that my assailant still has 70 health remaining from their 100 maximum too! How is that possible? It has to be something to do with relative broadband speeds. You can submit your own 500 to 600-word reader feature at any time, which if used will be published in the next appropriate weekend slot.
